Who is Sol Searcher?
Completed in 2022, Sol Searcher is Hull #1 of the Iliad brand of long range cruising catamarans. Power catamarans have a lot of room and a lot of comfort if they are built right. We love our Iliad catamaran because it's future proofed. Unless we want to move up or down in size, we can apply new technology and bring our boat up to date as improvements in technology occur. Better solar in the future? Yep we can update. More efficient cooling? Can do. And currently, we have proven offshore capability and a safe and efficient way to travel. Keep an eye out for future posts where I hope to discuss our footprint in greater detail. Yes, we are still traveling. There will be some footprint. But how do we get better, lessen our impact and still satisfy that craving for exploration?
